Are you at your wits end? Do you find it hard to go on one more day? God knows what we need better than we know what we need.
When we’re in charge of our own prayer requests we may be scripting our demise. Things go really bad when God lets us be god to our
self. God answers like a father, not a Genie. Most of our prayer requests are telling god how we want Him to answer us, since God is our
Father He does what’s right and best for us.
C.S. Lewis once said, “forgiveness is a lovely idea until you have to forgive someone.” When we choose to forgive we are not changing
the past, we are changing the future. Any hurt that is left undealt with will morph into bitterness. Keep fervent in your love for God and for
others so it will be easier to either cover an offense or confront the person with a heart for resolve. It’s always more rewarding to resolve
a relationship then to dissolve one.
Fear is a revelation about our doubts and unbelief and exposes areas in our heart where we are not trusting God. Fear may be a visitor in
our life, but must never be a permanent resident. Jesus never said if you follow me you will never have problems. It is God ‘s presence,
not comfortable circumstances, that brings peace in our life. When we are fearful we need the people of God and the peace of God to
help us through our trials.
Knowing the names of God helps us to recognize the truth and refute falsehood. God is always wanting to reveal Himself to us in a
deeper way. In the book of Genesis God introduced Himself as a transcendent, preeminent and ever-present God. If you have been in
a battle for a long time remember that when God never wastes time and He’s doing something when you think nothing is going on.
God will give victories that are eternal and transcend time. God is in the “right now” moments of your life, He is never late and He
never forgets His promises to you.
A powerful word of encouragement can motivate people to positive actions. We are to encourage one another daily so we don’t settle into
wrong thinking and stay tied to wrong behavior. When we take time to encourage others we become a conduit by God’s love and grace.
Encourage someone today. Tell them, “God is with you.” And spur them on to obey Him and to spend time meditating on His Word and
listening for Him to speak.
God is determined to have a people empowered by a spirit of prayer and praise to bring Him glory in these last days. The Holy Spirit will
show us the victory we have in Christ and enable us to live a victorious life. Let God’s plan take root in your life and let His Word create a
path for you journey and His purposes. We need power for the sake of others who are trying to find God. We need God’s Spirit every day
and all day. As you go through your day stop a moment and ask God to fill you with His power.
As we look around and see cities and nations in the world that are hanging in the balance because of sin it should remind us of how
important it is for believers to stand in the gap and pray. The Word of the Lord is still coming from God asking His Church, “Can I find
someone to stand in the gap and pray?” We must seek out divine encounters with God every day. Every revelation of God is an
invitation to be participants in what He is planning to do. When we stand in the gap we get to know God and in turn make Him known.
With every encounter with God we must learn to be trustworthy, faithful and good stewards with what He has given us to do.
The work of the Holy Spirit is to train us to look away from our circumstances and look to Christ and The Cross. All of us will face
insurmountable and impossible circumstances. An intercessor gets in the way of what the devil is doing. The Holy Spirit comes to us and
begins to get out of the way of what’s getting in our way. When the enemy comes in like a flood the Holy Spirit will begin to refresh us with
the breath of Heaven and make intercession in us and through us.
There is a God-given power in a father’s voice to speak to this generation. The Bible clearly states that there is going to be a calamity
in the earth in the last days: the failing and falling of men. God has provided something to break this onslaught of sin and it is as
simple as the hearts of the fathers turning to the children and the hearts of the children turning to the fathers that will stop this last-day
curse in society. When this generation hears the voice of the Father they will immediately be empowered. God is calling all men to be
men and answer the call to bring validation and encouragement to this generation.
God always wants to meet our needs and there are special times when He also wants to me our wants. God is a good Father and His
grace overflows in our life with an abundance of mercy, love and personal provision. Jesus sees all that you need and the good news
today is that He also sees what you want and desires to shower you with His blessings.
It’s important with everything going on in our lives to find rest in Jesus. Don’t be yoked with the world’s perception of a hustle and bustle
lifestyle. Today, Jesus is inviting all who are weary to come to Him and rest awhile. When we are harnessed to Jesus He leads with
gentleness and grace. When we allow God to be in control we find rest in His leading and power.
Are you in a place of difficulty and trial to the point of exhaustion? As Christians, we are to be prepared for the hard times ahead of us.
Part of the preparation is getting the victory over our personal battles and understanding the purpose for our trials right where we are.
Sometimes the only way the godless with see and hear about Jesus is by watching us go through trials that they know they could not go
through, so the inner power of Christ in us can become visible through us.
We are living in a moment in history where it’s imperative for the Church to rise up and call out to God so He can bring back truth in our
borders. We might not be in a position of the greatest strength but we have access to God and authority in prayer to move His hand
against the powers of darkness. It’s vital for us to pray for personal victory, courage and mercy. It’s time to get back to God’s house and
get back to the prayer meeting.
We are called to be a visible expression of who God is to our generation by letting God show His wisdom, power and grace through us. If
we are going to honor Christ we must be fully yielded to His will to let Him guide us so that the “desires of Christ” in us might be fulfilled.
As we simply behold the victory of Christ we will be enabled to let go of our regrets as well as our successes and we will be empowered
to lay hold of God’s divine plan for our life.
The beauty of the Christian life is that in our weakness a power beyond our deepest hope suddenly becomes known to us. God is
not looking for the power or wisdom of man, He is looking for a people He is able to lead and empower them by His Spirit. When
we walk in our own reasoning we will end up defending an enemy we should have defeated. It’s when we finally discover how
weak we are apart from God that we are the perfect candidates for the power of God. God wants our obedience, He wants us to
pray and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
There is something about a moment in history when the King begins to speak again. As the bride of Christ, we are being trained to
exercise spiritual authority for a strategic moment in history. We are to move from trembling in the outer courts and boldly come to
the throne of our King. Do we believe we can stand for our families and reach the people in our communities? As Believers’ we are
called to be warriors, yielded for the sake of others so we send out a message that says when God decides to move no one can
stand against His power and plan.
You may be in a season where the enemy has come to try to confuse you about your identity in Christ, leaving you to feel undesirable
and unloved. It’s not about how you feel about yourself. It’s about how the King feels about you, and He is waiting to hear your voice.
It’s the mercy of God that has tied the move of His hand with hearing your voice. Esther is a type of a praying people who have turned
away from their frailty and failure and made the choice to seek God with fasting and prayer. When we begin to fast and pray we tap
into the supernatural. It’s time to invite the devil to dinner and watch what God will do.
It doesn’t matter what we are asking for, God is able to do so much more. Sometimes when we think about the things that we’re
asking God to do, our thoughts are confined by our own limitations and preconceived notions on how God will answer. May we be a
people who allow God to bring His own name to glory and reputation in every generation by allowing Him to do in us what He has
already determined to do not according to our limitations but according to His mighty power that works within us. Every promise God
made to you will be fulfilled at His time and with His power.
It is not God’s desire for His children to live in fear. He wants us to live in freedom. Fear paralyzes while faith propels us toward the
freedom we have in Jesus Christ. God’s plan for you is not to be a victim but a victor. His plan is not for us to hunker down in fear but
rather to stand up in faith. In this last hour of time, the Church desperately needs a holy fear of God and reverence for His Word.
God is willing to give us His gift of abundant grace as well as His gift of eternal life. When God’s grace is poured into our heart our eyes
will be opened to the hope of our calling and all that our life can be in Christ. God is ready and willing to give us a miracle because He is
Good and His mercy is available to all who are willing to receive it. You can’t get into Heaven by following the crowd, it has to be a one-
on-one encounter with God.
Jesus recognizes when our heart is in pain. When we have an encounter with Jesus, He doesn’t dwell on the issues of our past, He
offers deliverance and a new future. When you bring your shame and your sins to Jesus He washes away our wounds. The gift of God is
not a book or a religion, the gift of God is Jesus Christ.
Jesus simply invites us to follow Him and He will make us into what He desires us to be. As we journey with Jesus He leads us into a
deeper faith as we learn to abide in Him. Abiding in Christ is not a work that we do, it is a work that God does for us if we would trust Him.
There is a cry in the heart of God to bring us into a place of intimacy, peace and power. Abiding in Christ will determine our level of
satisfaction in Christ and the degree of fruit that is produced in our lives.
The Bible admonishes us to “trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding.” It’s is so important that the
Word of God becomes entwined with our character so we will be able to respond in a correct manner in our trials. Everyone will face
seasons when coldness threatens our calling and the weight of the moment causes us to fear that we are in a spiritual stall. In these
seasons it’s imperative not to pull back but push forward and believe that we will renewed in God’s power. Trust God and He will
strengthen you to fulfill the calling He has placed on your life.
God’s prescription for happiness is found in reading and abiding in His Word. We are encouraged to read the Bible, listen to the Word
and obey its commands. Your happiness will increase when your reading and obeying God’s Word increases. Start a great habit today
and set your heart to read the Bible for twelve minutes a day. God knows what’s best for us so let Him give you His directions for your
As the Church of Jesus Christ, it is vital that we lay hold of the promises of God. The law was allowed by God to teach us we are not
God. When Jesus came to earth He broke the power that deceives humanity into believing that we can be Godly by our own strength and
effort. When God makes a promise to us all that is required of us is that we believe that He is able to perform what He is promising.
Today ask if God will to lay an ax to the root of all that is unlike Him and He will fill you with His Holy Spirit and make your life a blessing.
In the Garden of Eden, Satan sowed his own theology in human nature that would bring humanity into its own destruction. God
Himself prophesied to the devil that He will have an active force of opposition to oppose and defeat him. As the Church of Jesus
Christ, we are empowered to come to God with petitions and prayer to pull down the thoughts of the devil and push back the forces of
hell. When the Church begins to pray, when we rediscover again who we are and we begin to realize that we are not relegated to the
sidelines of history while this march of hell goes through our streets, threatening to devour everything that is good and Godly, then the
powers of hell will be destroyed. The power of the Church is found in the prayer meeting.
A walk with God is not about time, it’s about eternity. The Holy Spirit walks with us and helps us through our struggles. Don’t put your
own reasoning above the Word of God, where the Holy Spirit can’t reach you. You have not crossed a line with God if you can still hear
His voice and if conviction is still in your heart and you recognize what your doing is wrong; that the Holy Spirt is groaning inside of you
to help and empower you in your struggle.
If we are going to amount to anything we must learn how to pray and be set apart for God. When you choose to live for God, the
evidence of His Spirit will be upon you and will work through your life. The plan of God is sure, the promise of God is true. In order to
oppose the plan that God has for your life your enemies have to be able to oppose God Himself. Remember, the Lord did with you and
He will never leave you or forsake you.
Do you find yourself in a storm and you are unable to figure why you’re in it? When we are not going in the right direction God in His
mercy will put us in a storm to get our attention. Sad to say some of the Church is sleeping because we haven’t resolved in our heart
to go where God sends us and to answer the call He has placed on our lives. Could it be that God’s power and mercy is ready to be
unleashed in you even if you are a reluctant witness? Today, the Holy Spirit desires to lead you to someone who desperately needs to
hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
What are we looking at and how is that affecting someone else? Jesus said, “if your eye is good your whole body will be full of light.”
It’s so important as believer’s, to understand the productive life that Jesus has for us will begin by looking away from whatever brings
weakness into our lives. As our lives begin to clear and light of Christ starts to enter our body, we will begin to see what’s of value to
Him. When people make eye to eye contact with you will they see that they are loved and that God has a plan for their lives. When
the eyes of God begin to radiate through human vessels healing and miracles begin to happen.
We are living in a time where darkness fills the land and the conversation has become vile and boundless and even though there is an
entrance made by Jesus into the presence of God people are not quite sure how to get there. The question we have to ask ourselves as
Believer’s is: are we hidden when we should be visible and are we silent when we should be declaring the Good News of Jesus Christ?
Goodness has a significant role to play in what God is calling His church to be and to do in this new year. God’s goodness, grace,
mercy, and kindness are all expressions of His Glory and distinguishes Him from all other so-called gods. It is the measure of God’s
goodness which is displayed in our lives that will determine to what extent God can use us for the work of His Kingdom. All of the
Father’s Goodness is found in His Son Jesus Christ. As believers in Christ we have all the goodness we need to emulate and
communicate the Glory of God to another generation. Today, we are exhorted to let the goodness of God permeate our being so we
can shine for Jesus.
There is a great and effectual door that God wants to open for us. The best days are ahead of us if we embrace the truth that God
has for our lives. When God begins to open a door for the testimony of His church we will be opposed by enemies from without,
within and even from our own heart. We must learn from the mistakes of others who missed there moment. God will be faithful to do
His part and He will keep us and empower in every situation. In this message, we hear the very heart of God pleading with His church
to choose to walk in unity, faith, purity, forgiveness and selflessness. Let’s grasp this divine moment and believe that the year 2018 is
the year for God’s people to flourish.
Christmas time can be a very painful season for those who still have unhealed wounds. We attempt to cover up the bruises with
distractions and religious activities so we don’t have to deal with the unhealed wound in our heart. We can become so used to our
pain that we can’t see any way forward. The mission of God in sending His Son is about healing you. Don’t make peace with your
pain. If you are in a place where you feel powerless to leave your past behind, Jesus came to take you out of captivity and bring you
into His freedom and healing.
When Jesus Christ came to earth He came in the weakest form of humanity, as a baby and He wrapped Himself in the rags of our
failure. The Christmas message to you is: there is no place you can go where God won’t find you. It’s no wonder the Heavenly hosts
broke through the canopy of Heaven and proclaimed Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace and good will to all men. God came
to earth to be God to you.
There are two documents that reveal a lot about who we are, the calendar and the checkbook. These reveal two precious resources
we have, time and money.
The Church is turning more into becoming consumers than stewards. People are spending money on things they don’t need with
money they don’t have to
impress people they don’t even like. The checkbook tells us who we worship and what we worship. Tithes are your “thank you note”
When humanity wants to be its own God and government desires to become “god” to the people, they will attempt to pass laws against prayer. As Christians, we
must not let the window of prayer be closed even for one day. It’s time to pray and press into the power of God because He desires to show us His willingness to
