Overview
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Filmmaker & Studio Manager to join our Creative Team. This role requires a versatile individual who can lead video projects from concept to completion while also managing the day-to-day operations of our in-house production studio.
The ideal candidate combines technical excellence, creative vision, and strong organizational skills. They are comfortable directing talent, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring both on-location and in-studio shoots run smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities
(Includes, but not limited to the following)
Video Production & Storytelling
- Develop and produce high-quality video content (short films, testimonies, event recaps, ministry-related videos, etc.) for weekend services, conferences, social media, and other ministry needs
- Own the full production process: concept development, scripting, directing, shooting, editing, and final delivery
- Direct on-camera talent for testimonials and ensure storytelling aligns with the church’s mission and vision
Studio Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all studio-related operations
- Manage lighting, camera setups, and other technical preparations for in-studio shoots
- Oversee equipment purchases, rentals, repairs, and inventory
- Ensure the studio remains organized, functional, and safe
Project Oversight
- Plan and execute offsite shoots, coordinating logistics, crew, and gear
- Establish timelines and milestones to ensure on-time project delivery
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, Videographers, and relevant contractors throughout the production process
- Keep collaborators informed on progress and ensure feedback is incorporated appropriately
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficient with MAC/PC, Adobe Creative Suite and/or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong camera, lighting, and editing skills.
- Current on video and lighting trends.
- Motion graphics experience is a plus.
