Virtual Choir for Easter

Hello online community!

We want you to be part of Easter this year at Times Square Church. During the worship service, our worship team will sing a special version of “Because He Lives” that includes four different languages from all over the world: English, Zulu, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.

During the song, we are going to show people on the screen from all over the world singing with the worship team and choir. All are welcome to participate, no matter what your skill level is! What we’re asking from you is to simply record yourself singing along with the audio track found below and send the video to us! Please submit your video by Friday, March 8. If you would like to participate, here are instructions on how to do that:

When you listen to the track, you’ll hear the four different languages as follows:

1. English (0:00-1:51)
2. Zulu (1:51-2:34)
3. Mandarin (2:35-3:16)
4. Spanish (3:18-4:00)

If you speak any of the languages, we invite you to sing along with those languages.

Here are a few important tips for recording yourself:

• Find a spot to record where there is bright, even lighting with a plain background, like a wall
• Turn your phone horizontal to record
• Play the track on a separate device if possible (computer, tablet, etc) and listen with a pair of headphones
• Please upload only one video

Instructions for uploading:

• Click the link below that says “Upload”
• Follow the instructions on the screen to upload the file from your phone.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: in the box that says “Name”, please be sure to put your name AND the country in which you are currently located. For example, “John Doe – United Kingdom”
• Then, enter your email address and click the blue upload link.
