Child dedication is a celebration of the blessing that God has given you through your new baby and an acknowledgment that God is the ultimate father over every child. When we dedicate our child, we declare to God that we are thankful for the gift that He has given us and make a promise to raise the baby in the word of God. Child dedication is not the same as water baptism which we believe is an ordinance of the Church and an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Christ.
