On Friday, September 2 at 12:00 pm, we are celebrating the life of Elder Sam Maloney who has gone to be with the Lord at the age of 88.
The Bible says to give “honor to whom honor is due.” Romans 13:7 Elder Sam Maloney distinguished himself as a Times Square Church Elder overseeing the Prayer During Preaching ministry and the Children’s ministry. From the early inception of Times Square Church, Elder Sam was by Pastor David’s side loyally helping in this work.
He would often say that prayer is the backbone of the church. He constantly imparted a spirit of deep reverence for God, total reliance on the word of God and prayer, as well as genuine care for people.
In Sam’s later years, although his physical abilities declined, his joy and zest for life remained strong. The sight of Sam showing up faithfully to serve on Sundays at Times Square Church, despite his severe handicap, was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
He was a true soldier in the kingdom of God. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
