For the past 12 years, we’ve been providing meals to Middle Eastern refugee children in Athens, Greece. Many come with so little that their mothers are willing to endure Bible lessons with hands over their ears, just so their children receive a hot meal. Over time, these barriers come down, and relationships form.
When refugee crisis occurred, they moved the feeding efforts to public squares and learned to safely prepare and distribute food. This experience was helpful during the pandemic, as it allowed them to qualify for distributing meals three days a week.
Among those they have been serving is a group of Syrian refugee families. Over the past two months, they have developed strong relationships, and witnessed their hearts open to Jesus!
