My heart is so excited and overwhelmed with joy because of the faithfulness of the Lord and what He is doing through my life and the lives of others! He is using these Connect Groups in amazing ways!
It was through my Connect Group that I met a dear sister, who came and spoke to our group about being a survivor of human trafficking. She then invited me to share my testimony, “A Mother’s Story,” at a conference about God’s faithfulness in bringing me through the hardest trial any mother could go through – having your daughter kidnapped and trafficked at age 14. But because of His faithfulness, God answered my prayers and rescued her. The speaker was so moved after hearing my testimony that she said, “you should write about your story and God’s faithfulness.” So I did! She became my literary agent and God used her to open doors. I was granted a scholarship for writing classes and the scholarship also covered the publishing costs for my first book! I am now a published author! Only God could do this.
Nowadays, I have been invited to speak at conferences and schools throughout the country and just two weeks ago, I was the guest speaker at Pastor Neil Rhodes’ church in Geneva — in a connect group on Zoom. God is using this book and testimony to expose the darkness and share the hope that is in Jesus Christ. I’m reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God is so faithful.
